About Me: I'm television reporter for a living but would much rather throw a ball to make money. Who wouldn't?
Music: How much time do you have? I'm musically schizophrenic. I listen to everything from Pink to Pink Floyd, Nightmares on Wax to Christina Aguilera, rock, jazz, classical, ambient, and even the occasional rap song. So...the groups...Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, Gorillaz, Garbage, North Mississippi Allstars, Foo Fighters, Cake, Beck, Radiohead, Nirvana, Dave Matthews, Audioslave, Oasis, The Verve, David Bowie, White Stripes, Eminem, Evanescence, Rage Against The Machine, Linkin Park, Blink 182, Smashmouth, Elvis....Costello!, Alanis, Alan Parsons, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Old Aerosmith, Art of Noise, Pylon, Roxy Music, Incubus, Holly Cole...and so many, many more.
Movies: All the classics, Green Mile, The Aviator, all the Star Wars, October Sky, Shawshank, the usual blockbusters that everybody likes.
TV: Me. (I jest!)
I like all the Law and Orders - the original, CI, SVU, STFU, 70's Music Explosion...(I stole the last one!)
I miss the West Wing. Grey's, The Closer, anything intelligent.
Books: This list could easily grow as long or longer as the music, but anything by Robert Heinlein, Allen Steele, John Varley, WEB Griffin, Tom Clancy, politics, history or journalism related.
I think Freakonomics was brilliant, as was the Bush At War series from Bob Woodward.
Likes: I'm generally a positive person, so as long as people are smart, fun, positive and lack BS, I'll like 'em.
Dislikes: See above. If you're not that, then I'll probably not like you.
Hobbies: Fishing, flying, sports, bowling, golf, writing, video/audio production, reading, appearing on stage (I'm a terrible ham!) and hanging with friends.
Vices: Scotch. The occasional cigar. Music. Food.
Virtues: I'm a good friend - once you wear that title with me, you keep it for life.
I'm dependable, intelligent, fun-loving and downright modest, too.
Did I mention that I take almost nothing outside of work seriously?

Heroes: My dad - a Vietnam, Korea, Greece veteran.
Chris Barnes, who was as nice in person as he is on TV. Mike Jasnau, who spent two and a half hours with me when I only paid him for one - and turned my game upside down. Thanks, Mike! I'll be back soon. Parker Bohn, the classiest guy in bowling. Diandra, because she may be the key to bringing women's bowling back. Mo Pinel, who put a terrific weapon back in my hand after I took a couple of years off and realized how much I missed the game.
